3.Examination -
- Paper 1 -
- Part 1 - drawing skills, aesthetic sensibility, creativity, problem identification ability and their approach to visual and mechanical (product) design.
- Part 2 - visualization, creativity, design and general awareness, and comprehension (objective)
- CEED qualification score is valid for a period of two years.
- Paper 2 -
- Part (i) - Mathematics (Objective)
- Part (ii) - Aptitude (Objective)
- Part (iii) - Two Questions testing Drawing Aptitude of Candidate

1. Eligibility -
- a. Graduate Diploma Program in Design (GDPD)
- Candidate should have passed be appearing for Higher Secondary (10+2), or equivalents like AISSCE/IB/ICSE etc.
- Diploma holders from premier specialized institutions may be considered on par with Bachelor's Degree. Candidate cannot apply for more than two Program
- Post - Graduate Diploma Program in Design (PGDPD)
2. Application - Application forms for NEED are available in first week of October.

3. Examination - The entrance test for admission to the UG and PG courses in NID consist of three design aptitude tests carrying a total of 60 points.

- Candidate should have passed 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination
- Any Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system
- A pass in Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects
- 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education
- b. Masters Program - Duration : 2 years
- 3 years Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any discipline for Masters in Management
- B.E. / B.Tech. (Textiles / Apparel / Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Electronics / Computer / Information Technology) for Masters in Technology
