Courses Film
- Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Acting and Feature Film Screenplay Writing - Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University.
- Audiography - Bachelor's degree with Physics as a subject in 10+2 level
- A Art Direction and Production Design - Bachelor's degree in Architecture/ Painting/ Applied Art/ Sculpture/ Interior Design or related fields in Fine Arts or Equivalent Diploma
- Animation and Computer Graphics - 10+2 Level and preference is given to candidates having completed Diploma from fine arts colleges

b. Courses in Television
- Direction, Electronic Cinematography and Video Editing -Bachelor's degree
- Audiography and TV Engineering - Bachelor's degree with Physics as a subject at 10+2 level
2. Application -
- Information Bulletin and application form by post to Film and Television Institute of India, Pune
- Prospectus can also be obtained personally from the Tutorial Section and Facilitation Counter
- Application forms can also be downloaded from the institute's website
3.Examination -
- The Entrance Exams for Certificate Course in Animation and Computer Graphics is held at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
- The Entrance Exams for courses in Direction, Cinematography, Audiography, Editing ,Acting , Art Direction and Production Design , Feature Film Screenplay Writing, Electronic Cinematography, Video Editing, Audiography and TV Engineering are conducted by the institute at select centre.
- The exam is usually conducted on a Sunday.
4.Important Dates -
1. Eligibility -
- Graduate in any subject from a recognized University
- Candidate should be proficient in Hindi and English
- Candidate should have participated in at least 6 plays or in any other theatre related activity
- Candidates should be between 18-30 years of age
2. Application -
- The admission notice for the Diploma course is published in all leading newspapers in the month of February every year
- The date of auditions will be made known to the applicant
4. Auditions – No. of Attempts : Candidates can apply only up to three times
- Stage I- The first stage of screening comprises of an audition/ practical test
- Stage II- Selection will be based on performance and potential in 3-5 day workshop on the campus of NSD
