Unless you get through the IIMs or other top-notch business schools or institutes or are planning to ‘become your own boss’, you are not in that comfort zone where you can sit back and relax about your future.
B-Schools do not prepare you on the practicalities of the highly competitive and colossal corporate world. Get a PGDM or a PGDBM from an average (anything less than a B-Grade) School and that is not enough to equip you with sufficient adroitness to ‘make the right decisions’ as part of the ‘top-management’. Constant updating and upgrading oneself is the order of the day.
So, here are some of the most recommended (by professors and principals) and highly attractive courses that boost your knowledge levels and fetch you more desirable job profiles –
- Six Sigma Courses
- Business Analysts Courses
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
The Six Sigma is a benchmark management strategy developed and implemented originally by Motorola. It is now widely used by companies across all sectors. It is basically a quality management (reducing defects and waste of resources) process and has varying levels of expertise
- Yellow Belt – which is the most basic level and deals with analyzing relationship between quality and profit. This level is done only by those who wish to have an overall view of Six Sigma processes. This level is not opted by many.
- Green Belt – This is the second level in Six Sigma and these people involve themselves in collating information by number of experiments and tests thereby ensuring quality improvement and success of the project.
- Black Belt – is the next level of expertise in Six Sigma and these professionals usually head the project and are in charge of it right from its inception to delivery.
- Master Black Belt – This is the highest level in Six Sigma. Master Black Belts are required to handle issues post-delivery or completion of the project. They are central in implementing the six sigma process for the whole company instead of a single project alone.
There are no specific eligibility criteria to enroll or register for Six Sigma Certification.
